Custom Production:
The production period for all custom dance wear is 6-8 weeks, extending to 10 weeks during the Holiday Season (October-February). The production period does not include shipping or delivery. All orders will have the status of ‘Awaiting Fulfillment’ until shipment. You will be sent an automatic shipping confirmation email and your order status will change to 'Shipped' once your order has shipped. If you have not ordered from us before, we do recommend ordering the style in ready to wear before placing an order to confirm fit, as ready to wear can be returned. Once an order has been cut, changes or cancellations cannot be made.
If your order has passed the production timeline period, please check your emails and spam folder, as it is likely we have been trying to contact you about an issue with your order.
For the best Custom purchasing experience, we recommend using a computer with Chrome, Safari, or Firefox browsers. Dance wear shown on our designing tool is for reference only and may appear different to the final product due to print scale, pattern placement, and screen settings. Elevé Dancewear is not responsible to remake custom items due to color and print discrepancy. Please ask any questions and order swatches if uncertain about a color prior to ordering custom dancewear.Ready to Wear:
Ready to Wear (RTW) and Online Boutique is limited stock and sold on a 'first come, first serve' basis. Placing an item in your cart does not reserve inventory. Ready to Wear and Boutique items typically ship within 2-3 business days after the order is placed unless otherwise noted. Order fulfillment processing times during sales will extend to 5 to 7 business days due to the increased volume. Shipping method selected does not change processing time. Please allow for extra processing/shipping times during the holiday season.
All orders will be shipped United States Postal Service (USPS) or FedEx unless otherwise requested and approved. Domestic orders (U.S.A.) with a subtotal of $200 or more qualify for free standard shipping!
*Free shipping service is for standard shipping and service provider will depend on order size, destination, and weight. If you received free shipping and then return part or all of your order, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Please ensure your shipping address is correct before submitting your order.
If your address has changed after you placed your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Once your items have been shipped, we are unable to change the shipping destination. It is the customer's responsibility to contact the United States Postal Service to track down their package.
Elevé Dancewear is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages during shipping. You have the option of purchasing package protection at checkout. If your package is lost, stolen or damaged and you did not purchase insurance, Eleve Dancewear will not be able to help you file a claim. You will be sent "shipped" and "out for delivery" notifications to your email, so please make sure you are receiving our emails. If your package is returned to us, you will be notified and recharged the shipping cost.
If your package is returned to us for any reason, including an incorrect address, you will be notified and recharged the shipping cost. Any missing mail claim should be filed by the customer. Elevé Dancewear is not responsible for any packages that have a status of 'shipped' or 'delivered.' You will be automatically emailed when your order has shipped and when it is out for delivery. Please make sure you are receiving our emails.
International customers are responsible for all taxes and tariff fees involved with shipping overseas. Please contact your local Customs Office to locate lost packages. USPS Priority or FedEx (recommended) will provide more tracking information for our international customers, as well as a faster ship time, but do not change production time. If you would like to change your shipping via DHL, please email info@elevedancewear.com for rates. Elevé Dancewear is not responsible to remake any international orders that get lost in shipping.
Our website limits (USA) Priority Express Shipping to orders under $400. Domestic orders over $400 needing USPS Priority Express Shipping are possible, but will need to be approved prior to ordering and will have a heftier shipping cost. Please contact us if you are needing a large order Express shipped.

Fabric Options:
For Custom Fabrics marked "LIMITED STOCK," there may not be enough stock for multiple-piece orders or large scale items such as long skirts, tights, dresses, or unitards. Please contact us before placing your order to ensure we will be able to fulfill it first.
If your screen does not load the fabric options on a Custom page, refresh your browser until you are able to see the fabric selector.
Elevé Dancewear uses high quality Nylon and Polyester spandex for the base of our dance wear. Some of our fabrics are delicate and require special care when washed. Elevé Dancewear is not responsible for damages when worn or washed. When light colors are combined with dark colors, bleeding may occur.
When shiny sheen is chosen, the dullest side of the fabric is used for the outside of the item. If a fabric is available in both shiny or matte, you will be prompted at the time of selection to choose one. Please note that not all fabrics come in both sheens. What is available is listed in the fabric description. We also have a wonderful selection of meshes, patterned fabrics, laces, and velvets to help make your dance wear unique. If you see a fabric you like, order quickly. We purchase small quantities of our patterned fabrics so we can give our customers greater choices and so that fewer items will look alike.
Soft vs Matte fabrics? We have a limited number of colors available in both Soft and Matte fabrics. Our Soft fabrics are a Polyester/Spandex blend 250 gsm, and our Matte fabrics are a Nylon/Spandex blend 200 gsm. GSM refers to grams per sq meter. We recommend choosing a Soft fabric for Unitards, Biketards, Shorts or Tights. We also recommend choosing a Soft fabric if you would like a lighter color base leotard and prefer not to have a full front liner. The lighter colors in our Matte fabrics can be more sheer and we generally recommend choosing a full front liner with these colors.
Tip: Since meshes are sheer, their color intensity can sometimes be hard to see on screen. To get a better idea of the color of a particular mesh, we usually have a matching solid you can view. When color matching, meshes are usually a bit more forgiving than solids. When selecting fabrics, if the color/print name does not include the word "mesh," you have chosen a solid fabric.
For large orders, please email us at info@elevedancewear.com to make sure we have enough of the fabric you need in stock. We do recommend that schools order a size run before placing an order to confirm fit, since children especially can be picky. Our dancewear is designed to be snug and custom orders are not eligible for return or exchange. It is best to place a group order together, as we do not take responsibility for ordering inconsistencies, or production time differences. Elevé Dancewear may reject a custom order if it does not comply with the “Elevé” design aesthetics or if colors that were chosen do not match. One of our excellent designers will call or email you to help assist with your new color choices. If several attempts have been made to contact the customer, Elevé Dancewear reserves the right to change the fabrics.
If you are placing a large group order of one of our Ready to Wear styles, it is also recommended to reach out to our customer service to ensure that we have enough of the style in stock and/or the fabric in stock if we need to make more in another size.
Unsure what fabrics match? Click on our Fabric Options page where we've listed the solid colors that pair well with the fabric below each picture. We are also happy to provide recommendations on fabric selections.
Due to the nature of metallic fabrics, fading/dulling during wear may occur. Following all care instructions as well as washing dance wear inside-out may help lessen fading.
Please be aware that fabric colors on our Fabrics Options page will differ depending on computer monitor settings. Dye lots also vary and we cannot guarantee color matches with previous orders. You may order Swatches before placing an order. We will NOT refund or remake custom orders due to color discrepancy.
The Custom Print Designer tool is for inspiration purposes only. Fabric color, print scale, and print placement will vary to the product received.
Liner:
All of our leotards come with a bust and crotch liner. We give you the option of a full front liner when choosing your design for a small fee. We recommend a full front liner on our light colored fabrics, but it is not necessary on medium to darker colors. On lighter fabrics, in addition to a full front liner, you may choose to have the back lined. Please put this special request in the comments section at time of order and note that it may tighten the fit. All children size leotards include a full front liner unless otherwise noted. Our Biketards and Unitards only come with a Bust Liner option, wearing something underneath if light fabrics are chosen may be preferable.
About Our Leg Line:
Eleve Dancewear leotards are a medium cut leg line. If you are planning to wear this leotard without tights, please call or email us at info@elevedancewear.com for alternative leg line options. We will not be responsible for remaking custom leotards due to leg line fit.
Alterations:
If you are interested in altering an existing style please contact us before ordering to ensure that your request can be accommodated. Alterations will be subject to an additional patterning fee depending on the design change. Please note we are only able to make small adjustments and are not taking custom costume orders at this time. Any alteration made will nullify our exchange policy. We highly recommend knowing how our standard styles fit before making requests for alterations.
Sizing:
Most of our leotards come in Adult XS-L. We have been adding many XL and children sizes as well, so check back often! Our dance wear is intended to fit snug. Please note on our leotards size S and M are the same around, but our size M is longer in the girth. For sizing questions, email us at info@elevedancewear.com or give us a call at 816-283-7200. You’ll love the way our leotards fit!
How to Measure Girth:
Start your measuring tape at the curve of the neck where it meets your shoulder. Drape it down the front between your legs and up the back to meet your starting point. It should look like you stepped through a loop. See diagram above.
Skirts:
Find the perfect skirt for you! Use our guide to see which style will work best for your look.
*Wrap Skirt is available with or without waist ties. More skirt styles coming soon!
Washing Instructions:
Please love your dance wear and machine wash cold on gentle cycle inside out with like colors to prevent fading, remove promptly, then lay flat to air dry. Take ultimate care not to wash with other items that might snag or get caught on the delicate fabrics. Elevé Dancewear is not responsible for items that are damaged during washing. If you choose to hand wash your dance wear, please do not leave items in water to soak. Gently agitate the COLD water back and forth, then rinse the soap out using COLD water. Do not wring dry. Carefully press water out of your dance wear making sure dark and light colors do not touch. Lay items flat on a towel to dry.
We are unable to accept returns on damaged items due to washing since we are unable to verify if the washing instructions were followed correctly.
Pricing:
All Prices are listed in US Dollars. Elevé Dancewear reserves the right to change pricing. Sale pricing and discounts cannot be applied to completed and shipped orders.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does "Awaiting Fulfillment" mean?
Awaiting fulfillment means that your order is getting cut out and made. Once your dance wear is finished being sewn, you will receive an email letting you know that your order has shipped.
2. How long does it take to receive my order?
Custom Elevé Dancewear is made to order in the USA and takes 6-8 weeks before it is shipped. During the busy holiday months of October-February, production time can extend up to 10 weeks before shipping.
Elevé Ready To Wear and Boutique will be shipped within 2-3 business days, unless otherwise noted. Sales may extend this processing time. This does not include shipping time.
3. Do you sell to retailers?
Yes! If you are a retailer and interested in selling Elevé in your store, please email us at info@elevedancewear.com and we will be happy to send you more information.
4. Do you have a retail space?

5. Do you gift wrap?
Sorry, we do not. We do include a packing slip that doesn't show prices with all of our domestic (U.S.) RTW and Boutique orders.
6. What is an "Underlay" and an "Overlay?"
On a select few of our leotard styles, we offer an Overlay/Underlay option. This means there are select portions of the leotard that you may choose a sheer fabric and a solid fabric underneath for a layered look, often over the bust portion. The sheer fabric is the "Overlay," and the solid fabric that goes underneath is the "Underlay" - the underlay is not the same as a bust or full front liner. If a solid fabric is chosen for the overlay, an underlay is not necessary and will not be added (the regular bust/full front liner will still be included as ordered).
7. There are a few rough patches on the fabric of my dance wear. Is this damage?
What you are probably seeing are "stretch marks" from us popping and removing basting stitch during the production process, or after you've tried the dance wear on. This is common and harmless with spandex and can be smoothed simply by pulling the fabric in an upwards and downwards motion to release the tension in the fabric.
8. What measurements are your skirts?
You can view our Skirt Measurement Guide Here! Measurements are taken after the waistband, except on the Drop Waist Skirt. Please allow for a margin of error within 1/4" to the product received.
